Couples Counseling

I work with couples at every stage of a relationship — dating, pre-marital, long-term partnered, married, and post-marital. My goal is to help partners strengthen their connection, improve communication, and navigate challenges in a supportive and productive space.

“Emotional distance is the silent killer in relationships. It begins with one person withdrawing, and then both partners begin to live in separate worlds, one emotionally dead, the other silently aching.” —Dr. John Gottman

“Fighting fair is not about winning. It’s about resolving. Because in relationships, winning alone is losing together.” —Dan Wile

Common issues I work with in
couples therapy:

  • Communication and conflict resolution
  • Disagreements and decision-making
  • Lack of emotional connection
  • Sexual intimacy concerns
  • Infidelity and rebuilding trust
  • Parenting challenges
  • Extended family dynamics
  • Grief and loss
  • Support through stressful life events

Couples at Every Stage:

Dating

As the initial excitement settles, differences and irritations naturally emerge. I help dating couples move beyond their “best behavior” phase to explore whether their authentic selves can align and thrive.

Pre-Marital

Engagement can bring excitement, but also stress. I support couples facing differences in their vision for the future, helping them build a strong foundation. I offer the Prepare/Enrich assessment, which explores key areas such as communication, conflict resolution, finances, expectations and family dynamics, to name a few.

Long-Term Partnered or Married

I work with couples across a spectrum of concerns — from those wanting to strengthen a solid relationship to those facing ongoing struggles or even considering separation or divorce. Whether you’re looking to reconnect, repair long-standing challenges, or determine the next step in your relationship, I offer guidance tailored to your unique situation.

I have experience working with blended families, which bring both complexity and beauty. Navigating these dynamics can be stressful, but with support, families can create a strong, fulfilling bond.

Post-Marital

For couples in the process of separation or divorce, I help facilitate a respectful and cooperative transition. My work includes supporting parents as they navigate co-parenting and providing guidance for making the process as smooth and amicable as possible.
